Who is Stuart Craig

Norman Stuart Craig is a renowned British production designer best known for his work on the Harry Potter films, collaborating with set decorator Stephenie McMillan. At J.K. Rowling's request, he designed the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park. Rowling praised him, saying, "The key thing for me was that Stuart Craig would be involved ... I love the look of the films; they mirror what’s been in my imagination for all these years."

Craig has been nominated for ten Academy Awards, winning three: for Gandhi (1982), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), and The English Patient (1996). He has also received fourteen BAFTA nominations, winning twice for The Elephant Man (1980) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). Notably, he was nominated for six consecutive BAFTA Awards for the first six Harry Potter films.

He earned nominations from the Art Directors Guild for his work on The English Patient and the Harry Potter films, winning for The English Patient and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The Guild also awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award on 16 February 2008.
